[d]Group Questions

  1. Read Philippians 1:20-23 together as a group.

  2. Glenn said he doesn’t remember praying for healing, but instead prayed for strength, wisdom, endurance, and holiness. When you face pain or disappointment, what do you naturally pray for first — relief or transformation? Why do you think that is?

  3. Glenn talked about God “reprogramming” his perspective — shrinking his focus on this physical life and expanding his focus on eternity. Where do you see your perspective most shaped by this physical life instead of God’s eternal Kingdom? How does that shape your emotions and decisions?

  4. Glenn said, “I always get to choose my response.” What is something in your life right now that feels outside your control? What would it look like to choose a Christ-shaped response in that situation?

  5. He asked the question: “What can I do now that will matter 2500 years from now?” If you lived with that question in mind this week, what might change about how you spend your time, energy, or attention?
