[d]Group Questions

  1. Read Romans 12:4–8. Paul says that “we all belong to each other,” and then immediately talks about using our gifts. What does this passage teach us about the difference between attending a church and belonging to a church family?

  2. What has God given you that the church body needs?

  3. Read Romans 12:9–16. Make a list of the actions which should characterize genuine Christian community. Choose one and share how this would impact our relationships if we practiced it consistently.

  4. What is one specific way you can implement that thing this week?

  5. Read Romans 12:17–18 and Mark 2:1–5. Think about the picture of Rows → Table → Mat. Who are the people in your life who would “pick up the corner of your mat?"

  6. What might God be calling you to do to pursue, strengthen, or repair a relationship?

Prayer Prompt

Ask God to show you where you’ve been consuming community instead of contributing to it. Thank Him by name for some of the relational wealth He has already given you, and ask Him to show you one person you can help carry this week.
