It's never enough.

Our issue isn’t our net worth, but our hearts.
Money is a tool that accomplishes nothing apart from the person holding the tool.
Money makes promises that sound very much like God’s promises.
God is not anti-enjoyment… He is anti-idolatry.

The goal is to send as much of our resources ahead of us as we can.
Earn honestly.
Give generously.
Save wisely.
Enjoy God’s financial blessings gratefully.

Read 1 Timothy 6:6–10. Paul says that “godliness with contentment is great wealth.” How does Paul’s definition of wealth challenge the way our culture defines it? How does it challenge your personal definition?

Prayer Prompt
Father, everything we have ultimately comes from You. Show us where we have looked to money for something only You can provide. Teach us to be content with what You’ve given us, generous toward others, wise with what You’ve entrusted to us, and grateful enough to enjoy Your gifts without worshiping them. Make us rich—not simply in what we possess, but rich toward You.
