Week 1: Master Your Money
October 9 & 12
Money reveals what our hearts love most.
God doesn’t want our money; he wants our hearts.
Master your money so you can serve the Master.
Be smart so God can have your heart.
Truth #1: Money is neutral - It is what it does to us and what we do with it that makes it good or bad.
Truth # 2: Debt is bad, saving is good, living below your means is great, and being generous and content is best.
Truth #3: Make a budget, stick to it, and know your struggles.
Truth #4: How we manage our money is a measurement of our discipleship to Jesus.

Trey discussed the four truths of money: money is neutral, debt is bad/saving is good, make a budget, and money measures discipleship. Which one challenges you the most right now—and why?
What helps you practice contentment and generosity in a culture that constantly tells you to want more?
In service, we prayed two specific prayers asking the Holy Spirit to point out anything that has taken his place and how we can be smarter with money. Did the Holy Spirit reveal or bring anything to light for you?
