Week 2: God Does Not Withhold

November 6 & 9

[d]Group questions

  1. Read Romans 8:31-32 and Luke 11:13 as a group.

  2. The Cross Settled It: Paul says, “If God is for us, who can ever be against us?” How does remembering what God already gave us in Jesus change how you view the challenges you face right now?

  3. Proximity Over Perfection: Shannon said, “The ones who experience God’s gifts the most are the ones who stay closest to Him.” What does drawing near to God look like for you in this season? What helps you stay close, and what tends to pull you away?

  4. The Gift of Presence: The greatest gift isn’t something God gives—it’s Himself. How have you personally experienced the Holy Spirit as Comforter, Counselor, or Convictor recently? How might you open yourself more fully to His presence this week?

  5. Living Open-Handed: We were challenged to be grateful, expectant, and  to ask. Which of these three do you find easiest or hardest right now—and why?

Prayer Prompt

Pray for one another to experience the presence and goodness of God more personally this week.

  • Pray that each person would draw near to God and sense His presence in a real way.

  • Thank God together for His generosity and the “good things” He’s already given—especially salvation, grace, and His Spirit.

  • Ask the Holy Spirit to make each person more aware of His daily guidance, comfort, and power.

  • Pray expectantly—believing that the same God who gave His Son still delights to give His Spirit to His children.
