Week 1: Identity
March 20 & 23
I am made in the image of God…created to be a visible representation of the invisible God.
We were created in God’s image for meaningful work.
In creation, God modeled for us what it means to say “that’s enough.”
The sabbath is a gift to remind us that our value isn’t in what we produce.
Our identity is not in what we do.
In order to know who we are, we also need to know who we are not…we are not God.
Your identity will be tested.
Jesus knew who His Father was, therefore He knew who He was.
Jesus declared that Peter’s identity was now tied to the finished work of Christ.
