Worship
April 10 & 13
We all worship something.
Worship is the giving of your heart's affection, mind's attention, and life’s orientation.
Praise is the outward expression of our inward worship.
“Idolatry occurs when anything created to point you to God replaces God in the thoughts and desires of your heart.”
Paul Tripp
Worshipping and praising the Lord is a daily decision to say yes to God above everything else.
The majority of the time praise or worship is mentioned in Scripture, it is connected to music, singing, and physical posture.
There is spiritual power in our praise.
Praise and worship are both a personal and communal practice.
