Week 2: The God Who Forgives

May 21 & 24

  • Jonah 2

  • We think the fish is God’s judgment, but in the story it is actually God’s rescue.

  • God isn't absent in the chaos, he is present and Lord over it.

  • God doesn’t just rescue us from death—He births new life through it.

  • Jonah 3

  • God’s forgiveness is a gift for all but its a gift that demands a response.

  • Repentance is proven by motion, not emotion.

  • Repentance is not just remorse over the past; it’s reorientation for the future.
