Week 4: Ephesians 4

July 10 & 13

[d]Group questions

  1. Read Ephesians 4 as a group.

  2. Where have you seen the enemy try to bring division in your life—whether in your marriage, your friendships, or your church family? What would it look like to fight for unity in those relationships instead of just fighting to be right?

  3. Paul says that spiritual immaturity leaves us vulnerable to the enemy. How are you intentionally growing right now? Who is helping equip you? And who are you helping to grow in their faith?

  4. “Put off the old… put on the new.” What’s one area of your life where you feel the Spirit prompting you to change your spiritual clothing—either in attitude, behavior, or speech?

  5. Paul warns that unresolved anger and bitterness can create an opportunity for the devil. Is there any unresolved emotion or relationship in your life right now where Satan might be getting a foothold?

  6. When you think about spiritual warfare, do you tend to focus more on the dramatic or the everyday? How does seeing Ephesians 4 as part of the battle shift the way you live out your faith day to day?
