[d]Group questions
Read Ephesians 2. Paul describes a clear “before and after” in our spiritual lives. Do you remember the moment everything changed? What did that moment look like for you, when you went from death to life in Christ?
Paul doesn’t sugarcoat our spiritual condition before Christ…we were dead, enslaved, and powerless. How have you personally experienced the pull of the world, the lies of the enemy, or the desires of the flesh in your past (or even now)?
In your own life, where have you seen the Holy Spirit breathe life into something that felt dead or hopeless? Where have you seen Him move in unexpected, grace-filled ways?
Paul describes us as God’s masterpiece. How does that change the way you see yourself (and others) when you believe you were saved for something? How can we live out that purpose together?
How can we as the church better reflect the unity Jesus died to create? What walls still exist in the Church or in your own relationships that the Holy Spirit might want to break down?
