[d]Group Questions
Unqualified: Have you ever felt like God was calling you to something you weren’t ready for? How did you respond—like Moses, offering excuses, or did you step out in faith?
Excuses vs. Trust: Moses had several excuses for why he wasn’t the right person in Exodus 3 and 4. What excuses do you tend to make when God calls us to something difficult? How does trusting in God’s presence rather than our own ability change our perspective?
Faith Bigger Than Fear: In the story of Esdras and Shannon at the pool, his faith in Shannon had to become bigger than his fear of the water. What areas of your life do you need to trust God more than your fears? What would it look like for you to take a step of faith this week?
Obedience Over Comfort: Jesus calls us to deny ourselves, take up our cross, and follow Him (Matthew 16:24-25). In what ways do you prioritize comfort over obedience? How can we practically embrace a life of surrender to God’s calling?
A Long Obedience in the Same Direction: Moses’ transformation into a great leader happened over time, one step of obedience at a time. What’s one area where you need to take a faithful step this week?
